ARAI GP6 RC HELMET Arai has developed the new auto racing carbon fiber GP-6 RC helmet that meets and exceeds the FIA 8860:2004 and Snell SA 2005 approval standards. Made from specially developed carbon fiber, this helmet is designed to perfect aerodynamics, with improved ventilation, with an improved visor mechanism and new quickly removable cheek pads for easy removal of the helmet after a crash, without causing stress on the neck.
The GP-6 RC helmet is offered with a natural carbon fiber look and a clear protective coating that comes complete with; a Clear Anti-Fog visor, a Light-Smoke Anti-Fog visor, a "Dual-Pane" visor, a tear-off package, an extra screw kit, and an extra set of ventilation ducts.

and Dario Franchitti! The new Arai GP-6 (PED) is constructed using Arai's proprietary "PBcLc" (Peripherally Belted Complex Laminated Construction) the GP-5(PED) is light weight and provides incredible shell strength and flexibility.
A stronger shell allows Arai to use an extremely soft interior EPS liner for maximum comfort and excellent impact energy management. Cheek pads are replaceable with option sizes for a customized fit.
Using the same shell shape as the F-1 GP-6RC, the GP-6(PED) provides the latest incarnation of the iconic Arai "GP" series auto racing helmet.
The GP-6(PED) utilizes a new shield, as the eyport has been enlarged by 5mm on each side, to increase peripheral vision.
Upper ventilation now incorporates three large, closable intake vents to draw more air in, as well as two larger rear exhaust cowls which pull more air out. The combination greately improves ventilation.The
GP-5 is 5 oz. Lighter than
the GP-5K, has a 20mm
smaller eyeport than the
GP-5K and is designed for
open cockpit vehicles.

Constructed using propreietary "cLc" (Complex Laminated Construction) the GP-6S maintains light weight, while providing incredible shell strength and flexibility.
A stronger shell allows Arai to use an extremely soft interior EPS liner for maximum comfort and excellent impact energy management.
The GP-6S, like the GP-5k that came before it, is designed with the sport (hense the "S" designation) driver in mind.
Using the same shell shape as the GP-6(PED) & GP-6RC, the GP-6S provides a level of affordability while maintaining a host of features and innovations.
The GP-6S utilizes the same shield as the GP-6(PED) as well as the same larger eye port size for increased peripheral vision.
Using the familiar single intake, single exhaust found on the GP-5k the GP-6S replaces, the forward vent has been enlarged to improve air intake and improve overall ventilation performance.

The SK-6, like all Arai SK models, is designed specifically with Karting use in mind, with a brushed Nylon liner for better comfort, breathability and ease of washing.
Using the same shell shape as the GP-6(PED), the SK-6 benefits from all the F-1, IRL, and NASCAR feedback that has lead to the multitude of upgrades, improvements and innovations that have been added to the already long list of features found on the previous SK-5 model.
The SK-6 also utilizes the same shield as the GP-6(PED) as well as the same eye port size.

ARAI GP-5W HELMET
SA2005 Rating - The GP-5W is largely based on its big brother, the GP-5, while offering a more affordable alternative for drivers not wanting all the features of the more expensive GP-5. The GP-5W is heavily favored by sedan drivers who do not require all the upper ventilation found on the GP-5 while at the same time appreciate the larger eyeport opening.

Arai's PED (Performance Enhancement Devices) Kit is available for the Arai GP-5 Helmets! The PED is designed to reduce lift and turbulence at high speeds by regulating the air stream OVER the helmet. The kit also increases the ventilation effect by directing more air into the ventilation slots at the front and increases the Venturi exhaust at the rear. The PED Kit is available in Clear plastic to allow the paint on your helmet to shine through or it can be painted to accent your current helmet theme.
